I wish this was a little more balanced. It neglects the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act entirely, which is rightly said to have contributed to the problems by allowing them to become more widespread. However, I have no idea what on Earth the left is talking about when they say the Bush deregulation, or the Bush-McCain-Gramm deregulation.
But the Obama connections to this mess, and the Republican attempts to stop this years ago, need more attention paid to it.
