Bac O's work pretty well if you're vegetarian. I started using them for my BLT's waaaay before I became a vegetarian, tho. It was just so much easier & less messy than frying up bacon for a sandwich. You just sprinkle it on!
But you can't use Bac O's in soup. They turn into bright pink fake escargo, and all the flavor leeches out. Not so good.
