From reading the various news items, it appears that the democrat leadership never had an agreement in principal with republicans, not sure why they said they did.
I saw a brief snippet of the Speaker of the House who laid all of the blame for the current crisis on the Republicans. Period. The Democrats are in no way responsible.
So much for working together to solve problems. Didn't she learn the whole "plays well with others" thing? I think she needs to be sent back to Kindegarten. She's not alone, just the one that most recently caught my eye.
I liked how they sent Obama in to chair the meeting and bring everyone together, but the whole thing just fell apart. Maybe they couldn't find a plug for his teleprompter?
