For those who don't know - we've never owned a cell phone for ourselves. Diana got herself when she started working downtown because she 1) made enough to get one and 2) felt safer walking home with a cell. But that's all her deal.
So now Lee has one too. I haven't called him yet. This will take some getting used to...
At Dell, he didn't even have a regular line to call him - I had to leave him emails if I needed him to pick up groceries on the way home or whatever. Heh
Shoo is right, cell phone = electronic leash. However, that is a sign of moving up in the industry. You are important enough to the business that they need to be able to reach you by cell phone.
I got a blackberry at work. La de da.. My boss's secretary gets mad because I will not answer it when I am teaching. That seems to be the only time the boss wants something. I also turn it off as I walk to the car every night. My boss does not do this; this means I can send him all sorts of stupid stuff on weekends and when he is on vacation! I call it "pre-emptive management".
Wait till he's got this new building set up with the phones & electric & all.
I still just email him if I need something.
Except Wednesday when I got the car done, I called to see if we should have the dealership put in the battery, or get one at Sears. It was a push price-wise anyway.
