Christopher Monckton of Brenchley has put out a paper titled Climate Sensitivity Reconsidered. Which is being touted as both the start of real science on the earths climate and the death of the religion of global warming.
"the conclusion is that, perhaps, there is no “climate crisis”, and that currently-fashionable efforts by governments to reduce anthropogenic CO2 emissions are pointless, may be ill-conceived, and could even be harmful."
A much easier read that wont glaze over your eyes is here.

Heretic. We'd burn you at the stake but we need the firewood to keep our house warm.
Don't you realize that reality is what the majority believe? You are nothing but a fact monger.
I was always skeptical about global warming. After doing some research a couple years ago, i found that many researchers have evidence that the globe natural warms and cools in "waves" and patterns, over thousands of years.
Many people see renewable energy as a way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and nothing more. That isn't the main issue of why renewable energy is more popular than it was years ago. The reason is that, in recent years, oil consumption has surpassed oil production. And we "need" to find alternate ways of powering our communities.
I quoted "need" because of the fact that we can survive for many years with our rate of consumption of oil. It's just that, in the long run, if we start transferring our energy production over to non-oil based means of creating electricity, it will be a lot easier on our economy.
Maybe it's just warmer because of all the fat people.
And polar bears...
Unfortunately, the ones doing the touting are the just the usual choir of skeptics. Turns out this article wa written by a well-known global warming skeptic and does not represent the consensus of the APS, which still holds to their statement that global warming is both real and man-made.
So this really isn't so much the final nail as just another plank in a partially-built coffin. I hold by my earlier statement: the only thing that will kill the global warming religion is the undisputed onset of another ice age.
Sorry, Shoo, but that won't do it either. They've hedged their bet by claiming industrialization can lead to global cooling, too. Everyone complains about the weather; it requires some pretty twisted logic to try to legislate it....I look at this as a macro carbon cycle----during the carboniferous era, huge plants took most of the CO2 out of the atmosphere and it ended up as hydrocarbons in the ground. Industry is re-releasing a little bit of it, helping plants grow. This is a solar powered, renewable energy source.
just to pick a hair and split it... Doesnt Renewable Energy Source go against the second law of Thermodynamics?
Not at all. Solar powered, renewable energy source. If the sun winks out, well, we're S.O.L...
Basically the macro carbon cycle is powered by the expendable thermonuclear reaction of our nearest star. After all the hydrogen has turned to helium we'll go to AL Gore for answers. He'll tell us how it was actually caused by corporate greed and we'll all feel bad for ever consuming anything and shopping at Walmart. You can buy your way out, though, bu buying helium shares from him. It won't change things much, but you'll feel better
