A politically-concerned citizen given to the vigorous pursuit of Liberal causes. Not to be confused with extremist, a politically-concerned citizen given to the pursuit of Conservative causes (e.g., animal-rights activist, gun-rights extremist).

Zealots/extreamists on both sides are irratating and should be shunned. They are the ones who tend not to listen or think. But that is easier. It is hard to believe in something and still question it at the sametime. It implies a possible lack of faith in your position/party/whatever.
I'm afraid that we have become too polarized as a nation to function correctly. The "other side" (both of them) gets de-humanized by the "faithful" and that makes it easier to dismiss them.
I think Devo was right: "Freedom OF choice is what you got/Freedom from CHOICE what you want".
Then again, anyone who disagrees with me is stoopid. and wrong...
