MSM bias again.

So Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich gets arrested and next to no one in the MSM (including FOX) feel that there is any reason to identify him a Democrat.

Minnesota Senator, Norm Coleman's friend and benefactor is being investigated. MSNBC jumps all over the fact Sen. Coleman's is with the GOP.

So Democrat in trouble no mention of party. Republican obliquely associated with trouble, name party!

There is case after case after case of this double standard.

Fairness Doctrine for Radio? How about for the MSM?

Yeah, I noticed in the initial news report that the fact he was a Democrat was buried deep in the middle of the article.

Another fun trick the pull is when Congressman are in trouble, they like to say "Rep. Idiothead" without the (D) at the end so people can confuse the Rep. with Republican.

I have to admit, I wasn't sure of Blagojevich's party, either, but I looked up the information. My response was, "Just what we need: a crooked Democrat." Damn.

I do agree with you and Lee. MSM did the same with the Republicans. The (R-State) or (D-State) should always be put at the end of a politician's name in the interest of fairness and propriety, as in Rep. Idiothead (R-CA). (I was thinking of Dana Rohrbacher...)

I'd like a 'fairness doctrine' in the publicly funded school, show both sides--not just the very liberal agenda the teacher's unions push. I'd also like a 'fairness doctrine' for publicly funded KPBS. If it's privately funded, like talk radio, government needs to stay out.

Oh---and there is a much longer list of crooked democrats than repubs, if you bother to research. Condit comes to mind

Hi Lee,

I Googled his name Illinois Governor, and the first entry came up "Illinois — Governor: Rod Blagojevich (D)."

There's no ID on CNN and other entries.

You're right, Lee, this needs change. Flyingvan, most all politicians are crooked, and it's not based on party affiliation, as you'll see below.
