Oh it does have some good stuff, great nutritional value, Like most berries, acai is rich in antioxidants, fiber and omega-3 fatty acids.
It also contains phytochemicals and flavonoids, which may help prevent certain cancers.
"There is no competent scientific research that demonstrates any of the claimed effects of Acai berry, including weight loss, detoxification and increased energy and vitality," -- Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal.

Big, fat scam. If grapefruit was rare and only grew in the amazon rain forest, its health benefits would be touted and MLM's would form to sell it for $45 a serving.
I kinda figured, with all the sketchy commercials I've seen.
But the tea tastes good :D
