Remember the flap over embryonic stem cells? How they were the best thing ever for curing so many ills, and all we have to do is abort babies? Sharp lines drawn, sabers rattled and then, nothing much really.
Why is that? Well back around 2004 it was found that Adult stem cells where the way to go. The media assault of Gov. Palin has some bizarre avenues, one of which is attempting to say she is a hypocrite for having a downs child and anti-abortion, when embryonic stem cells could hold the cure. When the fact is no research is showing any usefulness from them.
So let us all blindly follow the mindless and ignore that she did NOT abort a down’s syndrome child, thereby walking the walk.
McCain and Obama personally are doing a pretty good job of staying out of the gutter. The rest of us are wallowing.

It's true that McCain and Obama are both taking the high road, but let's not give them too much credit. That is simply the way Presidential politics is done now: the candidates can look all noble, and at the same time, give winking approval to their surrogates to do or say whatever it takes.
