Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. They run Democrat controlled congress with a %14 job approval rating. Bushes rating is double that at around 31%.

Pres. Bush did not exercise his veto power very much, and spending went nuts. Oversight bills that could have kept this bailout from being needed were blocked by Democrat congress as well.

When talking about changing things in Washington, Congress is what needs to be changed. I do not see Obama being able to stand up to Pelosi and Reid. Add to that the fact that Obama's plans require higher taxes from someone.

So, either his promises are empty or he is going to get the money from us or gutting the military and pull a Clinton on the tax break promise (we tried but we just wouldn't find a way to cut taxes).
